  before i get to the gem in this week's tms, let me let any of you newbies here up to date with us jdubs and schooling.

  in the february 22, 2002 watchtower, the wtbts released the article titled "how my dream was fullfilled".

  it was one of many typical jw stories of a good devout jdub "resisting temptation" and accepting the borg as absolute truth.

  little update about myself real quick: haven't posted in a while, got curious about what was on the boards, so i had to log on.

  amazed i still remember my password.

  a jw friend of mine (who is unaware i'm an atheist), and i were talking during lunch at school when he brings up scientology.

  when i was a zealot (well at least sort-of), i never really thought about visiting the jehovah's witnesses' website before.

  i just thought, "jesus we already get enough from the meetings already, i'm not gonna go online to read their articles there too.

  " today though i was trying to get to jwn.

  hope you guys enjoy it as much as i did.. "today, after church, my 5-year-old son asked me about god, so i answered his questions in full.

  Childhood Baptism

  today, one of the few jw friends that i'm close to got baptized.. i always knew he was a little more into it than i was, but i thought that with high school coming for him (i'm a year older than he is), maybe it would open his eyes a little, and he would see the world differently.

  with little contact with him because of seperate schools for the past year, i didn't find out the news until just before our convention started.

  when he told me, i had this singular moment of panic and deflation, but i gave the guy a big hug and squeaked out a "congratulations" knowing he's two hours from shooting himself in the foot.

  confused, scared and worst of all, teenager.
